Quinta do Lago South Course
A Ria Formosa lagoon-side classic and the Algarve's most decorated tournament venue.
Opened in 1974 and designed by William Mitchell, the South Course at Quinta do Lago winds through umbrella pines and cork oaks along the edge of the Ria Formosa lagoon, with several holes played beside open water.
It has hosted the Portuguese Open eight times and remains the benchmark course in the Algarve for golfers on our Portugal itinerary.
Opened 1974. The South Course's lagoon-side finishing holes are among the most photographed in Portuguese golf.
